We look forward to exploring whether your family might thrive in our learning studio. Our application process is designed to make sure that we are the right school to serve the learning needs of your child and your family.

We are currently accepting applications for learners ages 4 years old through 12th grade for the 2020-21 school year.

Here is how our application process works:

1.    Complete your research on the Acton methodology. To avoid a poor fit and a move to a new academic environment mid-year, we ask each applicant family to familiarize yourself with the Acton model as your first step in the application process. We have many great resources to help you understand our model and consider whether your family would be a good fit at Journey Academy. Please watch or read as many of these recommendations as possible and be prepared to answer questions about them on your application: 

2.    Watch the Ted Talk by Jeff Sandefer called ‘Rethinking Education’.

3.    Watch the ‘Virtual Tour of Acton Academy’ video. 

4.    Read through our Info Kit.

5.    Watch our promotional video

6.    Read through our contracts document to learn about our tuition agreement, Covid policies, Parent & Hero Contracts HERE.

7.    Complete the online Hero Application found HERE.

8.    Schedule an interview and a tour once your research is complete and your application submitted.

9.    Admissions decision: We will inform you of our admissions decision soon after your tour and interview.

10.    Pay Registration Fee: Admission will be confirmed upon receipt of registration. This step will secure your enrollment in Journey Academy.

7.    Complete the online Hero Application found HERE.

8.    Schedule an interview once your research is complete and your application submitted.

9.    Admissions decision: We will inform you of our admissions decision within two weeks of your    interviews.

10.    Deposit: Admission will be confirmed upon receipt of deposit. Contact us for up-to-date tuition and deposit information.

11.    Pay Registration Fee: Admission will be confirmed upon receipt of registration. This step will secure your enrollment in Journey Academy.
